Rethinking means a finished item

In September last year I realised that small projects get finished. This gives me great satisfaction. So I finished a couple of small projects and then got stuck. I had two panels all quilted and ready to go. I was intending to make a zip pouch but the blocks were too big. I just could not resolve my dilemma so parked them.
I had been inspired by Tiina in Finland who makes a lot of small pouches, that are immaculately quilted.

So I was posting about all the things I needed to finish and realised that I just had to suck it up and cut the blocks down. Once I had made that decision then it was easy to get it all sewn together and finished.

  1. This is a nice pouch! It's great that you got it finished because it's so worth it. And if you meant me as your inspiration (that would really warm my heart) I'm from Finland. Your quilting looks nice and even!

    2. Tilkunvillaaja - I just discovered your fantastic blog but can't figure out how to read in English. Do I need to cut and paste every chunk of writing into Google Translate, or is there another way. You do beautiful work, a style I love!

    1. Hi Margaret. If you click on the link I have for Tiina in Finland and look at her blog - even if it does not translate into English. She creates a lot of pouches and at various times shows step by step how to do it.
