Gee - what did I do?

patchwork
Yes, I get distracted when using my scraps. I started another project. But sensibly I kept this to large cushion size. I was looking for handwork to take in the caravan, now we are in camping season. I don't think it is my thing but I should learn not to judge an unfinished project.

Using freezer paper for my templates and needleturn applique for the motifs. Will have to wait and see where to from here!

  1. Hi Karen
I enjoy reading your blog and seeing your craft projects and cooking tips. Like you, we have a caravan and I like to have some hand stitching to take away with me.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  2. Love that your "flowers" are pieced. (I'm just trying to learn applique... so pardon my dumb questions.) Did you make the striped fabric and then cut out the flowers to applique? or did you sew the strips to the freezer paper pattern?

    1. I sewed the strips then ironed the freezer paper templates on.

A gorgeous break in Rarotonga

Woo hoo, A holiday with no kids for 11 days. Bliss, relaxing and warm! BTW it was an early 20th wedding anniversary present to ourselves....
