I want to make an orphan quilt however some of my blocks have already been layered with batting and are quilted, others are just pieced blocks (not yet layered and quilted). I am not sure if I can combine the two types of blocks, or if I need to go ahead and layer/quilt the pieced blocks, then layer the entire thing once they are all joined.
